2010 Fall Volleyball League
USVBA LEAGUE RULES…Women’s and COED Leagues
GAMES PLAYED: All
league’s matches/games played at Hillside Recreation Center
SEASON: Monday Competitive Coed and Women’s: Sept 13 – Dec 6, 2010
Wednesday Intermediate Coed and Women’s: Sept 15 – Dec 8, 2010
REGISTRATION Returning Teams who played Winter 2010 may begin
registering: Aug 18th
Registration IS OPEN to everyone beginning Aug
23, 2010, if space is available.
There will be no Manager’s
meeting, unless requested by team managers.
RESIDENCY
REQUIREMENTS:
There are no residency requirements for volleyball
leagues, but non-residents are subject to the non-resident player fee,
refer below to “ADDITIONAL FEES”.
TEAM ENTRY FEES, ALL LEAGUES,
$245 covers new game balls for the season, T-shirts for
the league
winners, MRPA Championship entry fees for the “competitive” league
champs.
$44.00 returned if no forfeits.
ADDITIONAL FEES:
$11.00 / team / match paid to the referee prior to start of all
scheduled league or playoff matches.
$18.00/ non resident covers the
entire season. Non resident fees are due third week of season.
NON RESIDENT: one who does not live or work full time in
Northville/Northville Twp.
Exception: Non resident with a
Northville/Northville Twp school district address or grandfather
clause.*
*Grandfather clause: one who previously played as a
resident, moved but continued to participate in Northville leagues
without interruption. If same player drops from league play for a
season, the Grandfather clause no longer applies.
LEAGUE FORMAT:
All leagues, 12 teams maximum
MATCH TIMES: TBD based on number of
teams / league, 12 weeks of competition.
ROSTERS: must be turned
in by third week of season. Roster size: Twelve (12) player maximum.
Subs….one who plays 3 games or less during the season.

Teams wishing to enter the league should complete the attached
Team Registration and postal mail, email, bring it, or fax with their
entry fee: Checks require driver’s license number written on the check.

LADIES FALL MORNING VOLLEYBALL
Summer is coming to an end! Time to get in the groove.
Fall
2010 League will play from Sep 14– Dec 7, 2010 (12 weeks).
Residents $80, School District (Novi) $85, Non-Residents $90.
Registration starts AUG 18TH! NOT BEFORE.
ALL participants are
required to be able to execute the basic skills of passing, setting,
hitting, serving and team defense (where you’re suppose to be on the
court). If you have played in leagues, you’ll qualify. SORRY, NO
BEGINNERS.
The league director will form the teams prior to the
start of the season. Maximum 48 players. Don’t wait till the last
minute. League will fill quickly. Each team will play two matches
consisting of three rally scoring games to 25 each week. All games at
Recreation Center at Hillside.
Teams will consist of players, no
coaches, captains, or managers.
OPEN VB IS AVAIL NOW THRU SEPT
7TH, 10AM – 12PM Cost $2.
A pizza and salad luncheon will be held
for all after the last match of the season.
