Volunteer Youth Basketball Coaches Needed

Adult coaches are needed for the upcoming girl’s and boy’s youth basketball programs.  Your child play’s free if you volunteer to be a head coach.  If you are interested, please call Lisa Christensen at 248-349-0203 x1405 or stop by Northville Parks and Recreation Department and fill out your coach’s application.  Volunteers make these programs successful, so please call today.

 Registration Form

Resident/School District registration runs from September 3-26, 2008 (or until leagues fill).  Non-resident registration starts September 10-26, 2008 (if there are openings). A $20 late fee is due after September 26.  Players must fill out a personal data form to be used in formatting teams.  A coach’s meeting for all leagues will be held on Thursday, October 9 at 7:00pm.  Evening practices will be held 1-2 times per week, beginning October 13 depending on coach and facility availability.  Emphasis will be on improving basic skills and developing team play during the 8-game season.  

*It is strongly recommended that 3rd grade players have participated in a basketball camp, clinic or league prior to first game.

No games Saturday, November 29, 2008
Day: Saturdays and two week-night games will be scheduled
Location: Senior Community Center, Meads Mill and Hillside Middle Schools

Winter Youth Basketball Leagues -
Grades 4th - 12th

 Registration Form

Resident/School District registration runs from October 20 - November 10, 2008 (or until leagues fill).  Non-resident registration starts October 27 – November 10 (if there are openings). A $20 late fee is due after November 10.  Players must fill out a personal data form to be used in formatting teams.  A coach’s meeting for all leagues is scheduled for Thursday, December 18 at 7:00pm. Evening practices will be held 1-2 times per week, beginning January 5, 2009 depending on coach and facility availability. 

  4th - 6th grade girls  
  9th - 12th grade girls
  8th & 9th grade boys
  10th - 12th grade boys
Date:   January 17 - March 14, 2009
No games during mid-winter break
Day: Saturdays and two week-night games will be scheduled
Location: Senior Community Center, Meads Mill and Hillside Middle Schools  
Fee: 10th - 12th grade boys (10 games) -

All other leagues (8 games)
