Celebrate 8!

Northville Parks & Recreation wants you to know it is great to Celebrate 8-8-08!  Activities will be held all day long on this special date, with more than 8 ways to RECREATE!

Morning Activities at Recreation Center at Hillside

Kick off the celebration with Opening Ceremonies & a light breakfast at 8:08am

At 8:28am get your muscles movin’ and the heart a pumpin’ with our 4 mile walk!  Or drop in for Body Pump at 9:00am for $8!  Our water fitness class begins at 9:15am try it out for only $.88!  WOW!

At 10:08am it is time to RECRE8!! 

Stop by for fun with our portable skate park, hoop shoot contest, hula hooping, soccer shoot, mini Olympic fit course, crafts, and face painting! At 10:38am, stop by the gym to see a fantastic performance from the Brighton Bouncing Bulldogs Jump Rope team and our jump rope camp participants!

Open swim from 12:08pm - 1:28pm for only $3 !  That’s 80 minutes of swimming!

Lunch & Later Activities at the Northville Community Senior Center

Bring your lunch at 11:08am to the Northville Community Senior Center & enjoy a musical performance suitable for all ages!

At 1:08pm we will feature the movie “8 Below” or you can try your hand at our tournament of Crazy 8’s!  From 1:00pm - 3:00pm the Michigan Lego Users Group will showcase one of their awesome displays and celebrate their 8th year since its inception. 

Top off the day with a Scavenger Hunt at 3:08pm.  We will begin and end the hunt at the Northville Community Senior Center Banquet Room.
