Building Reservations


The Northville Parks and Recreation Department operates two indoor facilities with space available to the community for reservation. The Northville Community Center is located in Downtown Northville at 303 West Main Street. The Recreation Center at Hillside is located within Hillside Middle School at 700 West Baseline Road.

With-in these two facilities, residents have the opportunity to rent several different spaces to fit their needs. We are able to host everything from graduation parties, to baby showers, to basketball practice and everything in-between in our gyms, fitness rooms, meeting rooms, banquet hall, service pantry, stage and living room!

Note: Renters utilizing a caterer or serving a full meal during their rental must rent the Service Pantry. 

Weekend rates begin on Fridays at 5pm
**-Service Pantry is a warming kitchen that features a freezer, refrigerator, warming box, ice maker, commercial sink with garbage disposal and prep area. Our service pantry is not a licensed kitchen, you cannot prepare food in our service pantry. 



How many guests will the banquet room hold?
Capacity is 100 - 120 people depending on set-up.
How many guests can sit at the round banquet tables?
6 to 8 people fit at each table.
How much time do you allow for setup/cleanup?
Setup/cleanup time must be booked as part of your rental time.  You will only have access to the room during the rental time reserved.
What is the latest time available to rent?
Rental/clean-up must be completed no later than 10 pm.
Are tables and chairs included in the rental?
Yes, tables and chairs will be set up by staff prior to the start of your rental.  Types/size of tables used will be dependent upon availability of the facility’s inventory.
Do you supply table linens?

We do NOT supply table linens.  It is the renter’s responsibility to supply them for their event.

Are decorations allowed?

The renter is allowed to use decorations on the table.  However, paint, silly string, glitter or confetti is NOT permitted.  Tape, pins, staples or adhesive are NOT allowed on the walls.

Is there a kitchen at the facility?
There is a Service Pantry available to rent at the Community Center, which is a warming kitchen that features a freezer, refrigerator, warming box, ice machine, commercial sink with garbage disposal and prep area. 
Can I bring my own food?

Food prepared by yourself or another source may be brought into the facility.  However, if the event is catered or a full meal is being provided, the renter must rent the Service Pantry to accommodate.

Do you allow alcoholic beverages?

Beer, wine, and champagne are allowed during private events in which a limited number of people are invited and the alcohol is provided free of charge by the host.  An event where the general public is permitted to attend that involves the consumption of alcohol for a charge will require a special event license (State Liquor License and Liquor Liability Insurance).

Can we have music or a DJ at our event?

Yes, we allow music to be played with consideration to the surrounding events taking place.

How long does it take to get my security deposit refund?
Assuming nothing precludes your refund, security deposits are refunded via check within 1 to 4 weeks following your rental conclusion.
Is there a projector to use in the banquet room?
Yes, but the renter is responsible for verifying their computer operating system is compatible with our equipment as we do not have an IT technician onsite.
What equipment is available is available for use in the banquet room?

A projector, projection screen, podium, wireless microphone, and DVD player are available.
